Anyone has data on seasonal performance for equities for periods:
May 1st - Sept 31st
Oct 1st - April 30th

I heard over the past 60 years, the ratio between these two periods is huge. Is this why they coin the term "Go away in May"?

And what's about the summer rally? How often does that happen?

Thanks in advance.

donald: Well, once again the Market has taken me to the brink, as many bearish consolidation formations have been penetrated and are in danger of being negated as I type. It seems the big boyz play the formations more than they use to.

It is a stock pickers Market, more so than usual. I have been trading both short and long positions, intraday, so I have left nothing on the table in this rally.

However, I am/was expecting the Market to top today and resume the decline in a more definitive manner. I am ready for this correction to play itself out, so I can once again get long with the investment accounts.

The Market has once again pushed me to the verge of capitulation. Seems the last few Market expectations...have been sorely tested...<g>

Place a daily TYX chart above a daily DJI Chart and note how the DJI has basically risen and fallen with the TYX since last Oct.
