ANCR makes what they call the fiber channel which is a super high speed short distance optical transfer that I believe will mostly be used to send data from a computer to storage, which would probably be a big RAID system or a Storage Area Network. These big systems are slowed down just like the little ones due to data transfer bottle necks and fiber channel is suppose to help speed this up.

Now, it's a while since I looked at Ancor and maybe they've got a new product? Ancor has some recent deals with Sun which have revitalized the stock. I made a ton on them a couple years ago. It went up to 41 and then settled back to 1 or 2 dollars. It was all hype then, but maybe they've turned a corner?

Regards, Mark

Hi Marginmike,

Look up SUNW's website for OEM agreement with ANCR announced last week. Huge market and big bucks.
