Walmart could use the internet as a catalog arm... This should help increase inventory turnover, thus adding to profitability...

Shop on line at local store,

then pick up your order, that would save you time, 1/2 hour at least,

that would be a nice ad on T V.

I helped start a local isp, it has went from a few hundred to a few thousand in just two years, that just shows that the market is ready.

IBM spelled it out, we are the internet,!!!!

WMT should lay it out too. WE ARE ON THE INTERNET , come see US.!!!

I remember Costco having those in the past and they got rid of them. I ordered something on on once and it was delivered by mail. The problem with them is you have to figure out the menu driven system, page through the all the pictures, jump back to the main menu, compare prices with local stores, figure out if its worth waiting for delivery after figuring in the additional cost of shipping.

The next generation machines need to be faster and easier to use. They think they ought to display prices of competitors and consumer report ratings, etc.
