She wrote on another thread, in response to a message I had posted:

We ARE talking slander, you know.

But slander is "the speaking of base and defamatory words." I didn't speak anything.

The correct word would have been libel, defined as "A method of defamation expressed by print, writing, pictures, or signs."

Both definitions from Black's Law Dictionary 5th Ed.

Gotta run -- having made myself the recipient of flames on both this and the Feelings thread, I think I had better duck and cover.
