Incomprehensible to me that Berg wouldn't play this out.

He's put a lot into Valence and sure won't settle for less than global domination of the rechargeable battery market. What's that worth? jh

Bill,

This has nothing to do with religion, nor with emotional involvement in a stock. Rather it has to do with generating superior long term returns (no short term taxes to pay and reinvestment decisions to make) by investing in what could be a revolutionary company.

Whether you are a bull or a bear, you would have to agree that the company currently has substantial apparent risk as an investment given its balance sheet. My belief is that the actual risk is much less than the apparent risk, and they are much further along in their production cycle than is apparent in the S-etcs. or the press releases.

So I would hate to see a corporate buyer generate a modest (say, 50%-80%) premium to current stockholders and lose what I believe is the real opportunity in this company - the next 2-5 years of returns.
