STRU news out!!

CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 1999--Struthers, Inc.,
(OTC BB: STRU) the industry leader in the implementation of swine
embryo technology is pleased to announce that it has acquired a 20%
stake in SPHC Herd and Breeding Facility. Struthers has also
negotiated an option to purchase the balance of the herd for a
combination of cash and stock over the next three years. Located in
Kippen Ontario, Canada, SPHC has one of the world's top 10 genetically
superior herd of both male and female swine.
The interest taken in SPHC by Struthers is viewed as highly
significant in their ongoing effort to build its portfolio of
genetically superior swine breeding herds. Under the terms of the
agreement, Struthers will also have the rights to all of the semen and
embryos of the entire herd.

Corporate Growth Plan

The growth plan and business model for Struthers involves the
continued growth of their superior breeding swines, proliferating
their breeding technology throughout the industry. The Struthers
technology offers tremendous features and benefits. The significance
of these benefits lies in a breeder's ability to create a higher
quality hog that commands approximately a 20% premium in the
marketplace. Struthers' technology is differentiated with the
following advantages:

-- Ease of transportability - Swine embryo transfer technology (ET)
artificially inseminated genetically superior embryos can be
efficiently transported easily en masse thereby eliminating the
need for live animal transport. For the cost of an airplane
ticket, any multiple of 100 embryos can be transported in a
briefcase.
-- Vastly extended embryo shelf life - ET technology allows embryos
to be kept alive for over 72 hours or more than 200% more than
conventional technology allows.
-- Elimination of disease transfer risk - ET technology all but
eliminates the transfer risk of disease - an otherwise major
industry problem.
-- 2100% faster at creating a new genetic line - Whereas the use of
artificial insemination alone for the introduction of new blood
lines requires a full 15 generations or 7 years, ET technology
enables complete transfer of a new genetically superior animal in
one step requiring a mere 115 days.

Commenting on the agreement with SPHC, Struthers Inc. management
team stated, "We are very excited about our new interest in SPHC. Our
ongoing effort to acquire superior animals, both male and female
swine, coupled with our advanced Embryo Transfer Technology will
continue to broaden our competitive advantage. We currently enjoy an
approximate 5-year head start over our nearest competitor."
Continuing, management added, "Our technology and process for
expeditiously and cost effectively creating genetically superior swine
herds is revolutionary to the industry. Pork is the most widely
consumed meat in the world. With worldwide pork consumption in the $4
billion area, the demand for higher quality, i.e. lean hog products is
tremendous. We now offer the industry the complete solution for
efficient production of a consistently superior meat product."
Struthers, Inc. is a company focused on commercializing its
breakthrough technology of Porcine Embryo Transplants and the
elimination of disease in hog herds.
