Just one more nail in the coffin of the large short interest in the stock. I expect a slow unwinding of the short position in the stock over the next few weeks. The stock price will probably not move much, but the downside risk in the stock has been greatly reduced.

It appears, from the volume numbers alone, that there is a lot less interest in buying or selling ABTX today. Maybe the day-traders and short-term investors or shorters have moved on to more fertile grounds. Fundamentally, I would prefer to have more patient holders at this stage in ABTX's evolution. In my opinion, the nature of ABTX is different today than it was a couple weeks ago. I reckon it will rise or fall on corporate fundamentals ... in other words, the cliff-hanger phase is over, and now it will be up to management to see whether they can deliver on the promise/potential of savings (cost reductions) due to internal realignments and efficiencies.
