Re: "Boy you sure are spreading the fud these days elmer, and spreading it really thick these days.

1. The K7 will be FASTER than the coppermine - period - just watch out for the benchmarks old pal. And the key specs will be SPEC int and FP.

2. The K7 will COST LESS to manufacture for the OEMS and SIGNIFICANTLY SO. The difference is in the use of expensive RDRAM old pal.

3. The K7 support is awesome - VIA will have chipsets in volume by september - same time as Coppermine come out.

4. 3d driver support. I am hearing that even the KIII will beat the PeeIII once the new TNT drivers come out. It already beats it for office apps."

I see you are as easy to seduce as a 21 year old kid. The K7 "will be" faster, the K7 "will be" cheaper, chipset support "will be" awesome, the new drivers "will be" better. All this when the part isn't even released and you know nothing whatsoever about the coppermine. I'm impressed by your psychic powers. Are you sure you're not 21?

Kash - <Intel is now LATE with it's 0.18 ramp - it was initially due in Q2 99.>

1) PII Mobile is a dumb shrink, not true .18 design rules.

2) .18 ramp is not late. How do you figure? Cumine is targetted for Q3 release. Q2 isn't even over yet. Dixons to ship Q2.
Struggling to see how you came up with this statement, which is false.
