I think the key here is when will the brokers change their
accumulate/outperform to strong buy. Will they do it before the report or
wait for results."

What do you think?<<<

I am of two minds here. Or two hands, maybe. The analysts whom we think are in the know (Meeker, Blodget) changed their rating from strong buy to outperform and accum. That was after the last report. And it was in early May. So by what pretext could they change before the Q2 e ? Only if there are new business announcements. There were re warehouses, but that is past. Also Henry B. did not come out and say AMZN is undervalued. In fact he said he sees weakness going into August. And Meeker made one of her usual "we could see another 20% down" remarks.

All these tell me they will wait. That's why I don't think the run will go as high. Just to show you how worthwhile my opinion is, I shorted eBay today at 173.
