Trev -
Although I was upset at the time with Camphor for not jumping in the pot with Mountain and Glenmore, it's beginning to look like a SMART move. And by the way, GMH is against a CFV-MPV merger as well; it would dilute their control of MPV.
The only one really FOR the merger at this point is DeBeers.

Your story of Camphor and DeBeers-The-Shark maybe should read Mountain instead of Camphor. I think MPV would be much easier for DeBeers to 'eat'.
CFV doesn't have the weak points. Frugal management, positive cash flow, and shareholders who won't have the same tendency to cave in - CFV'll be hard for your shark to get his teeth into. Also they're small potatoes. No point delaying production for only 4%. Maybe it'd just be easier to bite the bullet and pay them off. That's what I'm betting on, anyway.
A merger with Mountain sure would have made your sharks problem easier!
