William,
Hi!!!

RE: RE: Kimball-what is your best IBM "rumor" and I'll take a shot at a guess?wbm

And if this comes true...You buy at Sullivan's...right?? :o)

IMO ...if it comes true....we all can BUY Sullivan's...I mean the entire place... :o)

In case you missed some of my "outrageous" ideas...well, I live in the middle of IBM territory...for the past 28 years I have known literally hundreds of IBM employees...their children...etc...neighbors, athletics...well, owning DELL I have had a gooood deal of fun with them....Increasingly...yes...more and more...twice in the last two weeks for instance...IBM folks have told me that "IBM must get out of the business..."...they are making "a killin' in the service end and that is where they believe IBM is headed.." We all know that they lost almost a billion last year...I could elaborate...I know a few that own DELL and we have met and discussed this in great detail...no one has any positive news...just conjecture on their parts...but, the obvious is the obvious...What if DELL partnering with them gave them some of the service end of the contracts? Michael has said for quite awhile that what he fears is outgrowing the quality of service that goes with the hyper growth ....Not that smart a guy here...but, it makes sense...and many friends up here think likewise...IMO what would be unbelievable would be the contracts that DELL would get now that IBM is getting the service...Imagine being a CPQ or HWP rep and walking into a large corporation and trying to win a bid with IBM as part service provider (I don't believe that DELL will allow a partnering where they are left out of the service end totally...tooo much money in this for future considerations) and DELL setting up your systems in world record time?? IMO that is unstoppable...

Best, Kemble
