That was pretty much my take as well.

To further your thought, there is one part of me that really resents these parasite lawyers who are simply piling on to a bad situation. My losses weren't that great, only a couple grand and I still wear the Iridium ball cap and let friends know how much it cost me, (|:-)). The Motorheads at Motorola obviously screwed up when they didn't pull the plug on this toy when they could have easily seem the changing landscape, i.e. more ubiquitous cell/PCS coverage, greater bandwidth demand for data, CDMA, etc.
This folly should have ended in '95 when everyone knew TDMA was obsolete. Easy to say in hindsight I guess. Though I did say in '95 I* would be a dog, I mistakenly thought "first to market" would play well on Wall Street. I won't make that mistake again. As they say, it's the pioneers who get the arrows in the back.
