Waterhouse, Webstreet are two that are mentioned a lot of times. I currently use Waterhouse, but will be switching to MyTrack.com soon.

Yve$ - Eturd takes all trades any fractions- anything OTCBB is 19.95 buy or sell; Discover brokerage is my alternative - commission is around 2% to purchase; fractions depend via the net, however, there is no additional charge to get an online broker over the phone to conduct your trades for teh limit you set - any fractions; some of my sells at discoverbrokerage only cost me 19.95 regardless of the amount of shares/money made involved. I hadn't read the policy too closely - but with ETURD you need an alternative online broker to get efficient executions.

A poor online service can cost you more than you'll ever pay in commissions if your executions aren't attended to promptly. Good luck, Jacalyn

I like Discoverbrokerage - get my limit order in and usually get results within 5 minutes confirmation

Yve$,

I use Web St with few problems (I am aware of others having bad experiences). They charge $14.95/trade, any amount, market or limit. Unlike DLJ (which I also use) they update your account in real time - balances, buying power, etc. Web St takes decimals (as well as fractions). They do have a price variation limitation of 300% of the previous day's close which can sometimes be a problem, but any orders that can't be entered online can be called in for the same price.

Good Luck and welcome to SI and GAAY

Bill

Yve$ - just got this month's issue of Online Investor and there is a CD from "myTrack" to open a trading account - visit them online at www.mytrack.com; trades START at 12.95, 2 grand minimum like them all, check it out. Good luck, Jacalyn
