So much for London, MU is presenting at the Paine Webber tout-fest tomorrow at 2:30 pm:

painewebber.com

(the schedule is in .PDF format -- you need Adobe to read it)

These major product milestones always manage to get completed just before a toutfest or an earnings report, huh. :-)

A tip of the hat to the yahoo thread, gotta give credit where credit is due.

...Rambus into high volume production is not going to happen any time in the next several months so it is clearly something that will take place later this year and into 2000."...

What does this mean? And what is "volume" production time.

As I said, if there is a market for RDRAM, MU will sell it. Why wouldn't they?

Of more interest actually is that they are starting with the 128Mb and 144Mb pieces, which shows that they are perfectly capable of producing 128Mb SDRAM chips if and when they decide to do so. And that will be if and when 128Mb chips are more profitable. The point here is that the Japanese plan to abandon 64Mb chips and run away to 128Mb chips in the hope of finding more profit there is doomed before it starts.
