SmartSwitch Routers Provide High-Speed Internet Services for
Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall

Cabletron Systems (NYSE:CS) today announced that IntelliSpace, a
leading New York City Internet Service Provider, has selected
Cabletron's award-winning SmartSwitch Router solutions to deliver up
to 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) of Internet access to customers in
office buildings IntelliSpace has "wired".
"We selected Cabletron based on not only performance and
reliability, but also the way that Cabletron worked with us to find a
solution for our specific needs. Plus, their service and support is
excellent," said Carlo Lalomia, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at
IntelliSpace. "Our partnership with Cabletron gives us the tools to
grow our network and service our growing customer base."
The flexible Cabletron solution allows IntelliSpace to
instantaneously provide its customers "always on" bandwidth ranging
from 100 kilobits per second to 100 Mbps. Since 1995, IntelliSpace has
wired more than 35 million square feet of commercial properties in the
New York City area, including Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music
Hall. Last year, IntelliSpace powered the live "Webcast" of the Grammy
Awards from Radio City Music Hall.
The Cabletron solution includes more than 60 SmartSwitch Routers
delivering switched Fast Ethernet connections at 100 Mbps within
buildings wired by IntelliSpace. Cabletron's application-aware
SmartSwitches also connect each wired building to IntelliSpace's fiber
optic network.
