The point that was obviously lost on you Benji is that the product did not live up to the hype. The crash from the high $40s down to the teens was the result of the reality of the 100s of $$MILLIONS$$ in losses when the product replaced the hype in the minds of the investors. The hype had the K6 as the next Intel killer (remind you of anything?) and the product is a business disaster.

Ben,
Elmer used to work for AMD, got laid off, got the short end of the stick or so he claims. Like I said, stick around for a while before you strike. Youthful exuberance is basically a good thing if restraint is practiced in the beginning.
