You are clearing not aware how CONSERVATIVE you are predicting the
Dow going from 10900 to 20000 in 10.5 years.

This is a compound rate of return of merely 5.4166 percent. If this is
the optimistic performance you expect from equities, then you should
put all your financial assets into 10 year fixed income and
get the same yield or better, with NO RISK.

Incidentally, a 10 percent return over 11.5 years would
move the Dow from 10,900 to 32,617.

As Herb Herman pointed out, this is a very conservative call, and you could probably do better with treasury bonds.

A quick calculation shows if the Dow does about as well in the next 10.5 years as it has in the previous 10.5 years, it will be at approximately 55,000. So your prediction would have been the equivalent of saying "Dow 4000 by 1999, call me a lunatic!" in 1989.
