CentreVu Response Solutions are based on Lucent's INTUITY CONVERSANT telephony platform. Since telephony platforms are necessary to run phone-based applications, and with hundreds of companies running their applications on Lucent's CentreVu Response Solutions, this partnership significantly expands the market for automated speech recognition (ASR) deployments. It also will expand the choices of speech recognition engines for CentreVu Response Solutions' customers.
Under terms of the deal, Gold Systems will integrate SpeechWorks®, including its Dialog Modules(TM), with Lucent's INTUITY CONVERSANT IVR platform. Gold will also market SpeechWorks to its existing customer base of primarily Fortune 1000 companies in a number of vertical markets.
The relationship between SpeechWorks and Gold Systems will enable companies using CentreVu Response Solutions to deploy SpeechWorks' technology and meet the increasing demand for phone-based ASR rollouts around the world.
''We've teamed with SpeechWorks to make it possible for our customers to deploy advanced, interactive ASR applications so that their end users can be easily serviced over the telephone, anytime, anywhere,'' explains Terry Gold, president, Gold Systems. The Partner Program gives systems integrators, developers and resellers a competitive edge in a fast-growing market.
''Gold Systems' renowned expertise in developing applications for Lucent Conversant customers will help make ASR ubiquitous in call centers, help desks and other deployments around the world,'' said R. Todd Barber, vice president, corporate partnerships, SpeechWorks. ''We are delighted to partner with them as we extend our platform coverage and open the doors to widespread ASR adoption.''
