ATLANTA -- Microsoft Corp. at Supercomm 99 this week will position Windows NT-based platforms as an alternative to proprietary operational support systems used by telephone companies for back-office service functions.

At the show here, Microsoft will unveil its Active Operations Support Systems as a voice and data software platform for delivery of converged circuit-switched voice and packetized data services.

If you really care...Tim Luke is an East Coast guy. The Tim that started this thread has a different last name. Believe Luke is his middle name. Last name begins with a J...like, Jankowski...(close but not!)
