Responding to an earlier post of yours about differences between the way men think and the way women think, are you aware that for the first several months I was on SI and posting mainly to the stock threads, most people thought I was a man? As late as December on Mistletoe, "joe" had to assure someone that, indeed, I am thoroughly female!

One of the most insulting things that has been said to me was intended as a compliment--namely, that I "think like a man." At least half of my close friends are men; I believe it is because I understand their thinking patterns. This is the reason why all the jokes about the war of the sexes strike me as so funny. It is a war in which I am an observer.

Come to think of it, on the stock threads many of the men sound more emotional than I. Example (complete with omission problem in text):
