OK, the article focused on one product, the Holiday Barbie. $750 million of sales in 5 years? Or was that 10 years? Ask any little girl if Barbie is dead. Ask any little boy what he thinks of Matchbox cars or Hotwheels. Ask any parent what they think of Sesame Street or Fisher Price. This is where you find Buffetology ideas - timeless brands with superior "mindshare" that are temporarily stumbling. If I had somehow missed this stock before, after reading the article in the Journal and knowing something about the business, I would be spending the night tonight trying to value the thing. Articles like that about companies like this are usually opportunities.
