donald,
is there any aspect of ta whatsoever that takes into account the action of another stock? let's say, oh, for example, a close competitor such as brcd. i think i know the answer, but, as an amateur chartist, it's difficult for me to ignore such things and wonder how they'll effect the price of my favorite stock.

Thank you for your PM. I really appreciate any advise that I can get as I'm relatively new to this realm. Your long and well reasoned message was very considerate and the exact opposite of so many flames here when people have opposing positions in stocks.
