Welcome to the thread Bill.I take special pleasure in having your opinions posted here as you have a reputation of being a techno-grizzly.
What exactly is it you are accusing Mr Edlestone(sp?).??

I guess you were short???

Is it really any different than how the market makers rape the spread on Rambus, or how any other fund manager or newsletter writer who try influence investors, to their advantage...a.k.a pump and dump???

It's all part of the game...sounds more like sour grapes to me.

regards
Don

Whoa, Fleck tell us more, somewhere else if need be. BTW, wasn't it Eldelstone that had MU at 17 bucks EPS two years out back in '95? Not even Kurlack went that crazy.

Bill,

Welcome! I wouldn't doubt it. Let me ask you a serious q because we have discussed this here before,

Is not getting your clients in before a big brokerage upgrade just as illegal as tradng around insider news?

I suppose one could make the arguement that this "pending upgrade" info is proprietary to the brokerage and does not constitute insider information, but if anything it smells like stock manipulation to me....

Any thoughts?

Bill, Just to let some of those on this thread know who you are, I have taken the liberty to post your June 7th Contrarian News link:

stocksite.com

You have made some serious charges against Edelstone by saying that he is doing something ILLEGAL and that he will be WEARING STRIPED PAJAMAS. You went on to say ASSUMING YOUR FACTS ARE CORRECT. Did you ever stop to think that maybe your fact are not correct? And what will your answer be when Edelstone's attornys ask you to present your facts? And I do believe that you will have some serious backlash from this. How many people here on this thread now believe what you have said? What does this say about Morgan Stanley Dean Witter the employer of Edelstone? After all you are somewhat of a celebrity. A man of knowledge that writes his own newsletter for broad circulation. Let us know how you make out.

Bill: Welcome to the thread. (What took you so long?) We need your point of view more than ever now. That said, I'm not sure that what you are alleging is illegal (it may be; should be in any event), though it is certainly unethical. It's the sort of crap I tend to think happens all too often -- unfortunately. And, "in the immortal words of david byrne 'same as it ever was.'" Oh -- my wife thinks you should cut your hair already. ;)
