Oh, its anything but ... this is the thread of anti-matter.

You all just can't take good hints, even when it smacks you in the head (of course I realize that goes a long way towards explaining johnson's torpor). The point here is AFCI. You could have had it a few weeks ago at 7ish and been to 13 1/2 today.

Old epstein might have to hold into the next millennium with this magnitude of relative underperformance.

Be honest now, how many of you play the state lotteries?

Re: energy stored per 4x4 inch cell. I promised a reply to this post:

Micheal, Each Dell battery, as you described, holds 14.4 volts x 4.5 amps or 64.8 watt hours with a weight of 1.4 lbs each. As you say, two of them weighing a total of 2.8 lbs are required for 10 hours of portable run time.

Starting with these numbers for Valence laptop cells:

I will use 17 watt hours for each 4x4 inch x 4 mm thick Valence cell. From specsheets, each weighs about 85 grams. There are 454 grams per pound. Two Dell batteries weigh 2.8 lb or 1271 grams. 1271/85 equals the weight of 15 Valence 4x4 inch cells . I believe a plastic enclosure might add 10% to the total weight. I will subtract 20% of the battery weight to be conservative, leaving 13 4x4 x 4mm Valence cells at 17 watt hours each totaling 221 watt hours. This is 221/108 or OVER TWICE THE ENERGY STORED FOR THE SAME WEIGHT.

The 10 hour run time could theoretically be extended to 20 hours by carrying the same weight of Valence batteries, or the second battery would not have to be purchased to achieve the same run time as two 1.4 lb Dell batteries.

I know more than one person who is waiting to buy a laptop with Valence batteries.
