My thinking on this was that the market already has priced in the assumption that AOL could get locked out of the cable market. My thought was that this is a real oppurtunity for the RBOC's and copper competitors to get their DSL product out to the public. Lets see if these clunky old utilities can get off their duffs and grab market share. T has a tight rope to walk, if they say, "If you give open access to our lines and CO's we won't invest in the build out. That plays into the hands of the RBOC's gaining first to market advantage.
I play both sides of the fence. This is only the first inning. I enjoy discussing these issues though. Both the legal and the technical. Thanks, D.H.
