Cringe - Re: "I guess analysts are being smart with AMD this time and sticking to the "wait-and-see" approach. Remember that $80 price target an analyst gave AMD in '97? They don't want to get burned again. I can't think of one of the big analysts who hasn't gotten burned by AMD since '97."

One of them gave AMD a $90 price target - either Edlestone or Erika Klauer.

Edlestone even reiterated his $4.00/share earnings estimate for AMD in 1998 the DAY AFTER AMD announced an UPCOMING LOSS in September of 1997.

A $4.00/share PROFIT ! He believed every line of crap that AMD fed him !

In case you forgot, AMD LOST $0.72/share for all of 1998 - so Edlestone was OFF by $4.72 - or 85% ~!
