Yes, Decoration Day. And all the small decoration days where you do the graveyards. The town near us has it on the First Sunday in May. That's an active graveyard, so to speak. Up in the cove is the small, old graveyard where many of the original settlers were buried. Lots of my kin in there. Only about a half dozen people have been buried there in the last forty years, but there is still decoration day on the first Sunday in June. With the current interest in geneolagy its grown quite a bit. A lot of folks that discovered their old dead people are starting to come. We do that mostly in wild flowers. They have over the years gotten plaques for the Revolutionary through the 1st World War vets. No WWII people are there. It's surrounded by corn and soybean fields, nestled in low hills, with a tiny white church just down the road on the other side. Cool graveyad.
