Miller Exploration - MEXP Thanks for your response, Karen. Better late than never. On the negative side, the company's working capital situation appears critical: negative $15.43 million. This may be quite difficult to work around during day-to-day operations. Plus, the Altman Z-score has declined precipitously over the last 5 quarters: 03/31/98Q: Z = 1.81 = In Danger 06/30/98Q: Z = 1.53 = Near Death 09/30/98Q: Z = 0.82 = Near Death 12/31/98A: Z = -0.13 = Near Death 03/31/99Q: Z = -0.27 = Near Death In the last few months, I've seen three other companies in the oil & gas sector with higher Z-scores seek bankruptcy protection from their creditors (e.g., FEN at 0.11, HHLAF at 1.18, DALY at -0.19). This is just my opinion, of course. On the positive side, at least there was no going concern qualification on the year end audit. Anyway, good luck in the investment.
