Laghnasade sounds like so hilarious an opportunity, I shall call it Laughnasade.

I'm with you and E. The longest day of the year is the shortest night of the year -- so we need to make the most of it!

But a beautiful summer eve is too nice to waste in tree house. Moi shall be in the mossy glade by the warm pool in the quiet stream, under the overhanging boughs of the weeping willows, and next to the grassy glen. The pool is perfect for dipping fevered limbs in. The weeping willows have boughs just rightly placed for neatly hanging all sorts of articles of clothing as they are shed. The long overhanging branches of the willows create informal mossy-floored rooms which provide just the right blend of modesty and accessibility. And the grassy glen is perfect for ritual dancing in the waning sunlight and the rising moonlight. Ah, the ladies look so lovely in moonlight . .

I do hope the Lady Edwarda will join us for the dancing, the dips in the soft water of the pool to cool off, the fevered activities under the willows to make the next cooling off ever more welcome, then back to the glen for more dancing by the sweet music of the panpipes.

Come, E; come, Joan; let us gather sweet smelling flowers to strew the glen and the glade and prepare for the coming eve.
