Coz-just heard that the Clearinghouse has indeed received more requests for Medinah Gold shares than legally exist.(ie THE SHORT POSITION IN MEDINAH IS REAL)The Clearinghouse has handled this "problem" by issuing "proxy shares". I don't have a clue what a proxy share is. Medinah is seeking advise of legal counsel on how to proceed. Apparantly, this practice of the Clearinghouse is not legal and will not stand. Short squeeze may now happen at any time. I have requested that E-trade send my share certificates to ensure I own real shares instead of the phantom proxy ones. They requested that I fax them a request but otherwise it was not any problem in sending me the restricted shares. Cheers.
