I wish LUV would come to Dallas!

Yes, Dallas is LUV's headquarters city and, yes, LUV has many flights out of Dallas's Love Field but, NO, LUV can not service Baltimore, NY/NEng, Florida, California, PHX or LAS hubs, or the Ohio/Illinois regions out of Dallas.

The Wright Amendment limits flights out of Love Field to Texas and immediately adjoining states. Probably KS, TN, AL, and MS will get approved in the next year or so, but it looks like 40 other states are still permanently out of reach.

As a result Dallas, home to one of the country's best low-fare airlines, pays about the highest long-haul fares (per mile) of any major city in the country.

David, good luck to you in getting LUV to FAT.
