If you review Ron's recent posts you will find that they are a major change from what he was posting. He's making interesting statements. He is demonstrating that he's getting a handle on the fundamentals and showing us how his thinking is going. When you do this you find holes in your understanding and you make efforts to plug them. We see the holes in our thinking by seeing through another's eyes. This is the essence of interactive education.

The universities teach by lecture. The Greeks didn't like that method. The universities are not there to teach. They are there to process students and weed out inferiors. How else can we have a society of gods and slobs unless there is a mechanism that separates the two based on random criteria. The democratic nature of the 'Net is an absolute refutation of every aspect of the university. The university creates over-achievers.

Over-achievers achieve so much that they go down the other side of the Laffer Curve and end up shooting themselves in the foot. To climb out of the third grade don't reveal that you did something which doesn't matter. So you sold some stock because you needed the money. Hell, Jermo sold a load at 35, so what are you confessin' about? Talk about touchy feely. Sheesh.

Almost fell off my seat laughing when I read this:

<<“this post seems to lean towards the "I'm okay, you're okay," touchy feely kind of post.”

“Ahhaha- One last thing. You referred to me (in a previous post) as a third class sucker. I don't disagree with you on that. However, I am an over-achiever and would like to become a first class sucker. Do you have any helpful suggestions?:0)”>>

Then I did fall off my seat laughing when I read this:

<<“Over-achievers achieve so much that they go down the other side of the Laffer Curve and end up shooting themselves in the foot. This thread definitely kills the basic boredom of the day!
