You are almost right...but left out some facts.

Going to the last point regarding MSFT telling IBM that the price would be $ 75 copy for of Win95, the reason was they owned MSFT $ 300 million outstanding at the time, and were dragging their feet on payments...as IBM had screwed MSFT regarding the selling of licenses and NOT RECORDING THE SALE. MSFT was so pissed, they used it to apply pressure for payment of this stolen sales volume. They also ONLY BROUGHT the price back to ABOUT where it was for OTHER companies!!!!

I don't know it the following line was written by you or by someone at CNNfn, but it is the one I can most readily prove is a restatement of a falsehood. The line disabling Real Networks G2 Player in the new versions of the Win OS is not accurate. The following link , yes it is a Microsoft link, references many other sources showing that RealNetworks pulled a fast one to make hay. It was a game played by them and by the preceding line the lie sticks and the truth is ignored. Quite frustrating!
