Well, senior citizens are funny people.

Everyone has an uncle, parent, or grandparent who fits this category, of course. It's been my experience that senior citizens, frankly , complain about everything they have to pay for. Am I right, or what?
In some respects that's good. They are kind of like canaries in a mine. Instead of higher concentrations of methane setting them off, higher prices for anything will set them off.

Yes, I'm sure that at some point prices for digital services will come down, if only because advertisers will pay enough to allow the cable companies and others like AtHome to lower fees.

And finally, just in terms of ACTV, I don't think senior citizens are the target demographic for HyperTV, if you catch my drift. Although maybe that's not correct. They have money. Question is, will they spend it?

regards,
Jim

Leo Hindery recently stated that AT&T is ahead of schedule in it's goal to have 80% of it's systems upgraded to digital in the year 2000.

They will push subs. into digital. Analogue will be like am radio imo.
