...this isn't completely irrational behavior. I hope you're right. I believe the early days of the 4 Mb DRAM chip when there was limited capacity and large profits will help perpetuate the behaviour: cycling from under capacity to over capacity. Except the next time Joe's Farm Machinery and Septic Services Corp decides to build a $2.5B fab, I hope I have enough sense to get out of the sector. I still think that they (both the countries and the chip makers) will learn. Ian
