I've never agreed with the saying, the market always knows. If it did, there would be no market as everything was already known. In my book the market simply reflects the collected wisdom or ignorance of the players involved - nothing more.

Regarding MLSM, there could be any number of reasons for yesterday's trading. Possibly there were some warrants or options exercised. I don't know. Possibly someone had a note called or a dealer had excess inventory or someone's spouse is making threats - the list goes on.

What we do know is what we don't know. Because of OTC trading, we can't tell if most selling was from one house. We also know that for the last 10 days or so, there has been some selling pressure. To me, that represents a buying opportunity. However, I may be a fool. To others it may cause fear and increase selling pressure. Either action could be right. Hopefully we'll soon know.

when you say financing, i don't think you are referring to any of the 18 million are you?

My understanding was that issuance wasn't until early fall, i think there may be some tax spin-offs that get wrapped around the deal. if this is so, a fall deal sounds more like the early begining of tax shelter season.

No follow up in stock activity today.
