New Internet Service Promotion Provides Excel Reps the Opportunity to Acquire

DALLAS, June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Excel Communications, Inc. today announced
that it has entered into a contract to purchase PCs from Dell Computer
Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL) as part of a promotion for Excel's U.S. independent
sales representatives.
During the three-month PC promotion, Excel plans to offer new Dell
Dimension PCs to U.S. independent representatives who qualify. Subject to
certain eligibility requirements and restrictions, Excel U.S. reps can receive
a free, fully equipped Dell PC to use as a business-building tool. Excel
independent representatives will only be responsible for paying shipping and
handling charges, a processing fee and applicable taxes.
"We developed Excel's PC promotion as a powerful tool for our independent
representatives to leverage with our Excel Online Internet service," said
Kenny A. Troutt, Excel's founder and chief executive officer. "Clearly, Dell
PCs offer our independent representatives the cutting-edge technology they
need to compete in today's online environment, as the network marketing
industry becomes a major player in e-commerce."

freeus: I think you are right. My hunch is that the Janus portfolio managers understand DELL and its future prospects MUCH BETTER than the typical Fund Managers. You don't see Janus playing around with the cyclicals -- I think it may be against their religion <GG>...I like to watch what Schloezel and his team at the Janus 20 are doing. A number of my relatives have some money in the Fund and have been very pleased with the performance. Most Fund Managers would dream of performing like the Janus 20 Fund -- yet they don't have the stomach to make BIG bets on their best high growth prospects and think LONG TERM. I think DELL will be a part of the Janus Funds for quite some time. DELL has great management and outstanding growth prospects.
