the only factor that might have caused me to be shut out is: reconfirm the offer promptly. but the stupid thing about Wit is that when I tried to buy KOOP and BWEB on the open market just now, neither their online nor the touch-tone system can even recognize these two symbols. btw, DLJdirect can't recognize BWEB either. very pissed.
