Bean,

I registered with Jag Notes (now I have to unregister somehow). I went to Merrill's reports, item 11. There is no reference whatsoever to IDTC. (Nor is there on the Merrill research site, which I trust more than this other source). Anyway, here is what Jag Notes shows for Merrill, at item 11:

11) MERRILL LYNCH

CRCL initiate coverage with a 2-2 rating, '99 estimate $1.17, '00 estimate $1.65, target $23, turnaround story of a family - run business

CNX initiate coverage with a 2-1 rating, '99 estimate $1.44, '00 estimate $1.75, target $20, LT outlook looks very positive

SDLI initiate coverage with a 2-1 rating, '99 estimate $0.70, '00 estimate $0.95, company will be a key player in the growth of optical networking

RAIL INDUSTRY after several months of sluggish traffic comparisons, US Rails could face brighter prospects during the 2nd half of 1999, this could lead to some pleasant EPS surprises

BNI, WCLX reit 1-1

CP, CSX, KSU reit 2-1

NSC, RTEX, UNP reit 2-1

I've got to conclude at this juncture that Merrill has not initiated coverage of IDTC with a strong buy, though I would love to be proved wrong.
