I've got to agree with you Jon

Case in point...I recently purchased MS Frontpage 98. Microsoft wanted to charge me $149 plus shipping. I called my local Staples...
$129 plus tax. Checked Egghead.com,...$116 plus shipping.

I didn't want to wait, so I went up the street to Staples, a five minute round trip. As it turned out I could have waited so EGGS was the best deal, plus I help build company value.

The real question is this...Should I have bought from Onsale and taken advantage of the free shipping and help to drive the at cost
competition into bankruptcy? yuk yuk

Seriously though, MSFT is so huge and still they give NOTHING away.
They can afford to do whatever they please and name their price. As e-commerce matures, Eggs will probably be a survivor and maybe continue to be a leader of sorts. Personally I'm hoping for a unique twist in their business model to develop.

...Whatever happened to that lifetime e-mail survey anyway?
Orban has that state of the art Oracle platform at his discretion...
anything is possible.

I believe the future key to success will be a constant development of the e-commerce business model; and, I also believe that this is where George Orban will ultimately succeed.

Best Wishes, John
