I'll not take offense at that remark because I am sure it was meant as a helpful advice. But I have been burned by shorting amzn into a rising trend. Actually, I was successful in doing that later. But it is just too hard. I am only talking about trading it well. Not its business prospects. Now if we were discussing Intel or Sunw or something like that, then earnings and stock price are parallel. In amzn they seem independent.
