welcome to comverse (and silicon investor!), allen. my compliments on two high-quality choices.

>this is a quiet company- you dont hear too much about it- any thoughts?

for the most part, that's very true, and while i'm generally loathe to speak for the rest of the crüe, i'll make an exception and say, from a posting perspective, we like it that way just fine thank you very much. <vbg>

regarding "press," i noticed that vinik (formerly of magellan notoriety), lightened his load on equities of late. CMVT was one of his largest holdings as of mar 31.

i must say though, that sometimes CMVT's technology makes me laugh. to wit, their voxmail notification via email is certainly interesting, but seriously, how many different ways does one need to be contacted? and did anyone see the recent PTEK release? their tact is somewhat reverse: "Orchestrate E-Mail by Phone" allows users to hear their email over the phone and respond to it via voice.

i don't know about you, but i have one hell of a time just listening to my damn work voicemail. (to quote NN, "DIE, LU, DIE!") i mean, even after entering my extension and pswd, i still gotta punch in a bunch of another numbers to even begin listening. "to get messages press 2, to listen to messages press 0, to get out of voicemail jail, press your luck."

and don't even get me started on trying to get a decent signal while i'm in downtown chocolate city.

like i said, welcome aboard.
