This really getting OT, but equally relevant to the discussion is why did Xerox ignore the PARC technology when it could have been Apple and MS both? Let's face it, they had it before any of IBM, Apple or MS. Sometime the market (and companies) can not see what is before them because it is out of their frame of reference.

I asked Dave Archibald that question 2-3 years ago and was told flatly, 'no'. I would guess that we would have found out about it if some provision had been made since then, then again this is VLNC.
