OFW, here's one number for the DTC (212) 412-6653 Perhaps you can explain to them that counterfeiting is a felony?

It sounds to me that the Depository Trust co. must first see who is short on this issue. Should't they be able to see the various brokers' accounts of how many shares were bought versus how many were sold and determine the short position?Same thing for the MM.Now is then the case that the registered ones will be delivered first? I might be wrong, but the brokers are still responsible to each investor and according to my broker,Scotia Bank, this is the case.
As Mike Gold said and if true, then what we are dealing with is a large connection which surely does't only deal with little MDHM.
