!!! Re: HTNZ !!! -- Some Caution/questions may be in order... HTNZ may indeed be a terrific daytrading play -- but I'm concerned that the company itself may have been badly mis-represented in some of the preceding posts (unintentionally, I assume...). Those posts refer to HTNZ as "Hollywood Park" -- and go-on at length about the company's huge revenue and diversified gaming-and-entertainment operations. There is, in fact, such a company called "Hollywood Park" -- but it trades under the symbol "HPK" on the NYSE, not as HTNZ on the OTC.BB. And its last trade today was at 14 7/8. In fact, Hollywood Park is a very familiar name to me because it operates a major horse-racing track not too far from me in Southern California. HTNZ is actually "Hollywood Trenz", and seems to have been established to merchandize Hollywood memorabilia and maybe build some show-biz-related entertainment facilities (although I'm really not entirely clear on what its plans are/were, or if it's ever actually DONE anything)... Here, in fact, is a news story from last month regarding "Hollywood Park's" (HPK's) latest financial report: ******************* Hollywood Park Turned Profit In Latest Quarter Dow Jones Online News, Tuesday, May 11, 1999 at 09:50 Hollywood Park Inc. - Inglewood, Calif. 1st Quar March 31: 1999 1998 Revenue $171,998,000 $78,157,000 Net income 4,133,000 (1,234,000) Avg shrs (basic) 25,800,000 26,276,000 Avg shrs (diluted) 25,800,000 26,276,000 Shr earns (basic) Net income .16 (.05) Shr earns (diluted) Net income .16 (.05) Figures in parentheses are losses. Hollywood Park operates casinos and pari-mutuel horse-racing facilities. Copyright (c) 1999 Dow Jones & Company, Inc. All Rights Reserved. ************************* Now, maybe there's been some VERY WEIRD sort of merger between these two outfits that I can't find any record of. If so, I hope someone will enlighten me. But they sure look like two very-different things to me... ALSO: I'd strongly suggest that anyone who's thinking about buying-into HTNZ take a look at that stock's message-board here on SI -- if you go back through just the last 10-12 posts there, you'll find lots of references to this apparently being another "shell" with a somewhat checkered past. Again, none of this means HTNZ won't go-through-the-roof in trading Wednesday -- hype alone may make it a 10-bagger before most people take a closer look at it. And I'm not sure that even I won't try to take advantage of that, if it happens. But it seems important for folks here to at least know exactly what they are and are NOT buying. Hope this helps...
