Well, if it took Nvidia a year after the release of 3DNow! to write good 3DNow!-optimized drivers, I guess we can see good SSE-optimized drivers in year 2000, no?

At least the time difference is much shorter than the time between the introduction of 32-bit instructions (Intel's 386 processor) and Microsoft's introduction of a half-way-decent 32-bit operating system.
