Thanks. My laptop only supports 98, not NT (although some people have installed). Something about to cutting edge hardware or something (Dell Inspiron 7000, 266 PII, 128 RAM, 8GB drive, 8MEG 3d AGP video). Will be following some but not all William's advice. Will use Cyber for good executions, after hours, and level II. Will have to limit screen real estate. Will use more for swing trading type activity. Basically, if I can save 250$ worth of good executions and the platform is more stable (my E*Trade craps about 50% of the time), will be worth the switch and will be used to software if/when full time trading comences. Also, has anyone tried using standard ISP internet access?? I realize error rate will be high, but impossible to be worse than current situation with current broker. Not worth BBN fee to me yet. I currently have to figure that into my trades by not getting into stocks that I could not live with holding through system SNAFUS.
