AOL (AOL: news, msgs) Chief Financial Officer Michael Kelly said his company has not stepped up lobbying efforts in other systems after the Portland, Ore. ruling which forced AT&T to open their lines to other companies. Kelly said AOL was not behind the Portland ruling, but will benefit from open access. Asked whether AOL would strike a deal with AT&T, Kelly said, "We've had discussions" with other cable and telecom companies..

another buying opportunity ! i wonder how many more we'll gona have?

As long as you own AOL or any other stock you will always have buying as well as selling opportunities. AOL long investors aren't bothered by this type of movement unless they are heavily margined. I am not.

Short term traders enjoy this type of market movement and prosper from it.

I know what you mean. I think it helps to keep in mind that for the long-run AOL at these prices is probably a very good deal, but those who picked up AOL yesterday or the day before (when it was also a "good buy") probably wish they would have waited. AOL seems very weak, but I hope it gains some momentum before earnings.
