Let's wait an see when a good future IPO comes out and see if "previous" flippers get it.

Who knows? They might start a record of flipping starting today.

What a relief..time to get back in the gym...This bubble has played out, so ETrade's 4th quarter changes will be of little consequence...It will probably save us all some money by keeping us out as the bubble bursts LOL

I may close all e-trade accounts and go to Wit or Waterhouse. At least they don't have 1,000,000 account holders all fighting for a piece of the pie. Or I may open 10 more accounts and play the odds. I think my black lab was wanting to invest. LOL.

Either way we are now screwed again. Anyone who sees this as a positive step needs a reality check. I'm sorry that you didn't get any shares before but now we will all be on this thread complaining. At least before there was the thrill of the hunt. And the excitement of allocation notices -vs- dear john letters. Now we can brag about who got there dear john notice first. Maybe we can ask them to put a time stamp on the dear john letters so we can still have fun.

This new policy sucks because it will be highly unlikely we get shares of the hot IPO's and then they expect us to ride the hot IPO's down as everyone else sells in order to get follow on IPO's. Time to open my Merril Lynch account again, at least there I was given a priority based on dollar volume traded rather than a lottery system.
