Role of VC's has sure changed over the years. But I think H&Q and Robertson both got into their current biz. this way. It's a lot more fun to have an open-ended fund than a closed-one. Plus you don't have people call you up to beg for money. BTW sneak over to QLTI and take a look. Was talking with some eyeball MD's over the weekend and they were impressed by the results so far. Considering what the potential in this therapy could be QLTI has barely moved out of its last 12 mo range until yesterday. This could end up a munch. Should be worth some fun...
